I'm so happy with this one! The colors were fun, and it really feels like the form just came together... one of those painted itself pieces :)
And besides, it's a seashell, and seashells are a very happy sort of thing. Now, I'm going to putter myself into the kitchen and whip up something chocolate, which officially makes the evening even happier.

That painting reminds me of a family picnic I had when I was eight. I still have the shells I collected that day in my jewelry box...strangely all this talk about shells/beach is giving me cravings for chocolate too. I think I'm going to go and make myself a cafe mocha.
