Red Mangrove

8"x8"

ok so I saw mangroves for the first time this year. super weird little trees, absolutely amazing. and since I can't *really* see something and decide how I feel about it until I paint it a few times, I knew I'd have to at least give it a go.

To Nowhere

12"x12"
sold

I patched a hole in the end of the house, and scooted the ladder back away from it because I'd also put up a little shelf the birds might use to nest and I didn't want to provide predator-access. That evening when I went out again there was definitely an oh wow, that looks like one of my paintings moment.... like with the flying sharks, something has obviously changed. Drastically. And nature is going to be just fine, maybe not the humans but nature. This is less direct, but has the same feeling for me.
