Frida

8"x10"

This one.... inspired by a child I know, and by my usual child-deer mashups, yes. And obviously by Frida Kahlo.

The Red Queen

9"x12"
sold

Back to my peculiar and very fancy animals. I was planning on a very fancy dress, but my model had different plans. It is a spectacular ruff though.

Blue and Green

8" diameter

Something completely different, loose and brushy and cool. I'm so looking forward to summer.

Split Peach

I think I might be having rather too much fun with this orange-and-blue thing.

Corked Bottle

5"x7"
sold

Just a close up of something pretty. Interesting texture on the cork, smooth shine on the pottery.

Apple and Reflection

8"x8"

Ah, I haven't done a painting like this in years and I have no idea why- I love doing them! I believe I'll be building another box tomorrow just for posing things in.

Ridges

5"x7"

I tried to create something very dry and light, like really get the feeling of the shell. I don't know if I'm explaining it properly, I'm not a word person..... but I captured a little bit of it. Glowing by still chalky outside-of-shell.

Looking

5"x7"

This is why I do daily paintings. Experimenting with colors and atmosphere and learning so much along the way.
