This is not the painting I planned at all, but my little one just turned six and is thinking about cutting her pigtails off, and I wound up painting her in profile and making it all about her hair and her little baby face. And the glow all around her.

In Front of the Light

This is an interesting one, what with trying to make the water very flowy and transparent, and the fish very opaque. Thankfully the fish was a very cooperative model!
