Discovered something pretty cool- Virtual Sketch Date, where some artists come together every month and each work from the same reference photo, provided by one of the participants. First time I've done it, but it's looking like a lot of fun. Happy.
And this? Graphite and colored pencil on paper, 5"x7". Nice to do- it's been a while since I've done anything in colored pencil.

This has an old botanical print feel to it Kellie. Very nice work. I'm glad you were able to join in the VSD.
ReplyDeleteNice drawing! I like your composition and interpretation of the photo!
ReplyDeleteKellie, very nicely done. It feels like a botanical illustration to me. I like how the brighter color of the sunquats play off the more grayed tones of the leaves.
ReplyDeletegreat job! the yellow/orange colours of the fruit really do stand out nicely :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kellie,
ReplyDeleteI like the blend of graphite, CP and coloured paper. Gives it a unique look. Well done!
Nice soft colors and the orange "pop" is just right. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery soft a pleasant to look at. Kudos. Excellent job. Reminds me of some of the ancient Japanese ink and watercolor paintings.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michael. It, too, reminds me of a Japanese watercolor.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely!
This is so soft, it could fade into the paper. Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is floating in the air.
