This is up for auction as part of the Strange Dreams Collective's August auction- the theme was Under the Sea, which is absolutely my jam. Of course. Also I read Scorpio Races out loud to the kidlet so of course I had to paint another water horse.

I just had to try to paint him.... although the whole thing is way outside my comfort zone. I love the way the delicate little crosshatched strokes come together though.

Wow. This one was HARD. I now know why I've never been prone to painting calicos.... plus the weird angle and the very vivid blue and just the everything. All things considered she came out ok.
