Water Horse

11"x14"

This is up for auction as part of the Strange Dreams Collective's August auction- the theme was Under the Sea, which is absolutely my jam. Of course. Also I read Scorpio Races out loud to the kidlet so of course I had to paint another water horse.

Blonde

11"x14"

Having fun, painting a beautiful horned woman. Always nice when I can get someone like her to pose for me- almost all of my favorite textures and shapes together.

Dragon Skull and Peach

8"x10"

Little still life of a peach, and the skull of a lesser crested dragon. Always nice to bring a little extra magic into a painting.

Red and Gold

Yes, I'm definitely just going to stay here underwater for the immediate future.

Blue

9"x12"

Just exploring our little underwater world. Something cool and soft.

Peach on Blue

Pretty pretty peach. Just look at those colors, and the fruit itself feels so round.... I don't know what I would do without daily paintings, there's something so gratifying about them.

Peach and Shadow

sold

I found a peach with the most adorable little butt and just HAD to paint it! This is going to look amazing in someone's kitchen.

Broody

8"x10"

Pretty little hen. I absolutely love how the textures came out on this one!

The Storyteller

8"x10"
private collection

I just had to try to paint him.... although the whole thing is way outside my comfort zone. I love the way the delicate little crosshatched strokes come together though.

Barn Cat

sold

Wow. This one was HARD. I now know why I've never been prone to painting calicos.... plus the weird angle and the very vivid blue and just the everything. All things considered she came out ok.

Selkie

8"x10"

My daughter as a selkie, quietly swimming through a soft grey world.

The Sparkler

11"x14"
sold

This one is inspired by my sister and my daughter playing with sparklers on the Fourth. They were really beautiful.

Propeller

Here's a first for one of my darling robot goldfish- a propeller! Complete with swirling bubble trail.

The Right Honorable Patches

Such a gentleman. I'm so glad he agreed to pose for me!

Green Water

5"x7"

Water really is magic.

Floating

5"x7"

My cousin, floating.... I wish I'd painted it so much larger, but there's something so nice and impressionistic about her at this size.

Through the Water

Off to the lake for a week!

Peering

Pretty kitty.

A Sketch of Fluff

Just doodling a splendid little kitty cat.

Evening Dahlia

8"x16"
sold

My dahlias have started blooming so much earlier this year, and they are beautiful. The pollinators adore them, too. This particular beauty was leaning out from the rest of the group, right at eye level....

Eggplant and Yellow

sold

I decided to play with complementary colors today- don't you just love how bright it is?

Watermelon on Blue

5"x7"
sold

Yay, beautiful watermelons at the farmers' market! It will be a while before the ones in my yard are ripe, I'm afraid.

Poppy Mandala

8" diameter

I'm really kindof in love with this one- these flowers are just so ridiculous and gorgeous, they look like magic or sea anemones or something. Seemed like the perfect subject for a precious little circular canvas.

The Search

On the one hand, chickens are wonderfully ridiculous. On the other, I am very grateful to be bigger than them.

The Magic of a Flower

8"x10"

Something beautiful. The bee balm is blooming, and the bees are loving it (as the name implies) and it just had to be painted.

Apricot Curves

You have no idea how badly I want a mature apricot tree in my yard.... they're such stunning fruits.

The Faun

8"x10"
commissioned portrait

And this one.... I need to paint my kidlet with antlers again, I can't believe it but it has been a little while since my last one. And the reflective eyes, those are always a favorite thing of mine.

Sugar Smile

8"x10"
commissioned portrait

And isn't this just the sweetest thing? I can't believe they were actually a commission, with the skull makeup and the horns and all but I LOVE it.

The Unicorn

8"x10"
commissioned portrait

And this one is just too sweet. Really, who doesn't want to be a unicorn? A unicorn with pigtails, no less.

Bright Eyes

8"x10"
commissioned portrait

Just look at that smile! And the pigtails. And, ok, just the everything.

Periscope

You can never have too many robot goldfish!

The Display

Peculiar poultry. That's the theme of things lately. I figure that if a rooster could have glow in the dark bits, he would totally go for it.

The Piper

8"x10"
private collection

I am so in love with this one. Just the everything. Maybe all my things should be brushy sketches with a really detailed passage.

Naomi

A sketch of my little baby.
